Berengère de Negri
Berengère de Negri has a degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse) and a doctorate in Education. Currently, she is based in Albania as Chief of Party of the C-Change Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health and Family Planning project (MNCH FP). She has been a Senior Communications and Training Specialist in the GHPN Group for over 15 years. Dr. de Negri has over 20 years of experience in adult education, training, behavior change communication, advocacy, interpersonal communication, capacity building for community organizations, and development of educational materials, strategy development and the participatory learning approach (PLA). Her areas of expertise are HIV/AIDS, avian influenza, reproductive health, population, maternal-newborn-child health, injection safety, malaria, tuberculosis, and education, and include a focus on crisis and post-conflict situations (specifically, Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, and Rwanda). She has worked to build capacity of local institutions in Africa, Latin America, and Asia, on participatory operations research, national strategic [communication] planning and implementation, and training program development in social communication. Dr. de Negri’s training approach is highly participatory, behavior-based (outcomes based on specific behaviors that can be measured following training), and experiential. She has worked in more than 30 African countries, in Latin America, and in Asia. Dr. de Negri is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
