Lucia Kramer

Lucia Kramer, an experienced BCC specialist, is the lead AED Technical Officer for the HIV/AIDS prevention multi media communication interventions for urban youth in Honduras as well as for Garifuna Population, an afro descendant population with the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence in the country. In 2001, Ms. Kramer worked with the Ministry of Health's IEC technical committee to design, implement and evaluate a BCC communication intervention using several media outlets to reach Honduran youth and influential leaders. Since 1999, she has been providing technical assistance to the Honduran Ministry of Health's Mother and Child Division. Currently has designed and will be implementing and evaluating a BCC strategy integrating a multi sectoral approach to reduce maternal and infant mortality in the country. Ms. Kramer has over 10 years of experience in training, behavior change communication, strategy development, interpersonal communication and capacity building of local organizations. Ms. Kramer is a native Spanish speaker and speaks English fluently. She has worked in numerous countries in Africa and Latin America.
