Jill Randell

Jill Randell, EdM, MS, is the Deputy Director for the AED Center for Global Health Communication and Marketing and is a BCC specialist and nutrition expert with over 30 years' experience in international and domestic programs. Ms. Randell currently provides technical and managerial leadership as the Project Director for the Health Communication Partnership Project focused on HIV/AIDS prevention with MARG's, as well as AED's BCC component of the Food by Prescription Project, the TRANSACTION Project, and the Integrated Family Health Project, all in Ethiopia.  Previously, she directed the Ghana Sustainable Change Project, the hygiene component of the Pakistan Safe Drinking Water and Hygiene Promotion Project, a CDC-funded HIV/AIDS behavior change project in Ethiopia, the BCC components of the MARAM Project - a maternal and child health project in West Bank/Gaza, MOST - USAID's micronutrient program, the CATALYST Project, and also a CDC grant in South Africa on the use of CDCynergy in vitamin A supplementation. Prior to joining AED, she was the Nutrition and Health Education Advisor for the USAID-funded Healthy Mother/Healthy Child project in Egypt and the Health and Nutrition Specialist for USAID/Pakistan. In the latter position, she advised and collaborated with Pakistani government officials and other donors in designing a national breastfeeding strategy. Ms. Randell has had extensive field experience in maternal and child nutrition, child survival, adolescent health, and anemia. Her areas of expertise include designing field programs, designing and conducting formative research, producing training materials, and developing media and counseling materials.
