Helen Stiefel-Heymann

Helen Stiefel-Heymann, MSC, MA, is the Project Director of AED's PROFILES project and a nutritionist trained in nutrition and as well as in social policy and planning, with a concentration on health. Before joining AED, Ms. Stiefel-Heymann worked for six years with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a program specialist and provided technical support to over 50 countries in communications and environmental issues in the New York-based headquarters office. With UNDP at country-level she led the development and management of a community-based income-generating program in Bhutan. Ms Stiefel-Heymann is an expert in micronutrient interventions with a focus in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, participatory methodologies, social mobilization, advocacy, and qualitative research methods. Ms. Stiefel-Heymann is a native francophone and also speaks English, German, and Spanish. She has worked in over 12 countries around the world, including residency stays.
