Ethiopia TransACTION (2009 - 2014)

AED is a significant contributor to this USAID-funded HIV prevention program headed by Save the Children. AED provides key technical input, particularly regarding BCC and MARPs (Most At-Risk Populations) programmatic implementation.  The project will reach 110 urban and peri-urban towns along specific transportation corridors where high-risk populations are found.  Primary objectives include: providing targeted prevention, community-based care and support, HIV counseling and testing, and STI treatment for at-risk populations; increasing demand for interpersonal counseling, health services, and social support activities; and increasing capacity of local NGOs and private facilities to manage targeted prevention programs.
