PREVENT (2009 - 2014)
http://h1n1vax.aed.org/
PREVENT is an Associate Award under the USAID-funded C-Change project. The program aims to help develop and implement effective behavior change and communication interventions that reduce the risk of emerging zoonotic diseases. Much of the initial work has focused on responding to the H1N1 pandemic and the distribution of vaccines for the virus. PREVENT is part of the USAID Emerging Pandemic Threats Program -- a specialized set of projects that aim to strengthen global disease surveillance, training, and outbreak response. The program builds on four years of work AED completed under the AI.COMM and AI-BCC programs on avian influenza and pandemic preparedness and response.
