Pakistan Safe Drinking Water and Hygiene Promotion Project (2006 - 2009)

AED was a subcontractor to Abt Associates under the Pakistan Safe Drinking Water and Hygiene Promotion Project.  AED was responsible for the development and implementation of behavior change communications activities that reached all regions of Pakistan.  AED was tasked with using both mass media and interpersonal communications.  BCC activities included developing programs in schools; supporting a large grants program to NGOs, CBOs and FBOs that targeted household adoption of improved hygiene behaviors; and targeting government and community organizations to promote and maintain a safe water supply.  AED also worked with the private sector to help expand access to hygiene and point of use filtration products.
