Transit Sites (CB/HTS) of Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, and Swaziland (BLNS) - SADC Regional HIV/AIDS/STI Project (2004 - 2006)

This project worked to help reduce HIV-related risk behaviors among those most vulnerable to HIV infection in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, and Swaziland (BLNS). Focusing on high transmission areas (HTAs) and cross border and high transit sites (CBS and HTS), AED made behavior change efforts in youth-centered, gender-sensitive BCC interventions that improve health competencies, systems, service delivery, and equipment. Project strategies included policy revision, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation components. The SADC project was funded by the Southern African Development Community, through a grant from DFID.
