Interpersonal Communication / Counseling

Interpersonal communication and counseling, defined as person-to-person or small group interaction and exchange, is a critical skill for health care providers, hotline call respondents, and others who have direct contact with those we are trying to reach - in order to influence their decisions and help improve their skills. It encompasses both verbal and non-verbal communication, negotiation, and classic counseling techniques. AED provides technical support through research, intervention design, training, and materials development to enhance this critical area of health communications.
