Packaged Foods for Complementary Feeding: Marketing Challenges and Opportunities
This paper examines strategies for using packaged complementary foods to improve the nutritional well being of young children in developing countries. It addresses questions of when donor and government agencies should consider support for the development and marketing of a packaged complementary food; what approaches and models they should follow in developing a packaged food project; and the relative strengths and weaknesses of different products and different marketing approaches.
