Events

New Tools


	Trainer's Manual and Trainee Toolkit for Nutrition in Comprehensive Care Centers (Kenya). Produced by FANTA and the National AIDS and STI Control Program in Kenya.


	Calculator for food fortification. Designed to ensure both the safety and the maximum efficacy of micronutrient levels in staple foods (salt, oil, sugar, wheat flour, and maize flour), as well as to measure the potential public health impact of fortified foods. Produced by A2Z.


	Nutrition and Tuberculosis: A Review of the Literature and Considerations for TB Control Programs. Produced by Africa 2010 Project.

New Communication Products/Resources


	New open source platform to help health systems collect and report data using cell phones, mobile computers, and voice-entered data in a common database. Called GATHER, the platform will also be adaptable to other development activities. Read more and join a wiki on the resource.


	Five special editions of HealthNet News on child health. A weekly electronic publication that features peer-reviewed, practical, clinical, and research information from medical publishers who have granted permission for use within the developing world only. 	New online course on Immunization Essentials. Registration for e-learning courses is required but free at this link: www.globalhealthlearning.org.


	Avian influenza outbreak response posters (5). Developed for Laos. Available in Lao and English.
